Ildiko is invited by doc. Ing. Stanislav Seitl, Ph.D. and prof. Ing. Zbyněk Keršner from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Brno University of Technology to give a guest lecture about her ongoing research. Her visit is supported through the project Mobility of foreign academic and non-academic workers and guest professors – IRP 1.8.2.2.
The lecture will discuss the topic „Sustainable cementitious composites: Recent research and development“.
Ildiko’s comprehensive research is devoted to the development of various new generations of sustainable cementitious composites, such as natural fibre mortars and concretes or alkali‐activated composites reinforced with natural fibres. The focus is on design, optimization and experimental characterization of the composites along with improvement of their long‐term properties. The results are promising and so far, demonstrate that the properties of these composites are comparable to that of traditional composites.
The lecture will provide an overview and insight into this research.
